Your an excellent recruiter, confident in your market and demonstrate great client and candidate relationships, which result in consistent placements and billings. As a role model within the office, your now involved in supporting the wider team. Whether that be mentoring new consultants or trainees, supporting in our internal interview process, or leading occasional training sessions, your role now involves an aspect of sharing your expertise with others across the business.
At this point in your career you have 2 choices. You can opt to focus on developing your desk and your personal billings, and become a Principal Consultant, or you can decide to work towards a Desk Lead role, helping in the transition to Team Leader. As a Team Leader, your focus shifts to managing your team of Trainees, Consultants and Senior Consultants, your priority is supporting your team to hit team targets and helping in their own personal development.
Senior Consultants are often a number 2 to their Team Leader, and work closely with them. Your Team Leader will be your day-day support and guidance. Oli (our Learning & Development Manager) will be on hand to support you through the new elements of your role, and will be working with you to help you decide which progression route matches your skillset and personal motivations. Our Directors are always on hand for additional support or ad hoc situations.
