Even with the rise of start-up culture, and the growing desire of many developers to join a company free of traditional corporate structure, it’s impossible to deny many still feel the need to seek a ‘secure’ option, and opt for jobs in established, or global, businesses.
‘Established’ or ‘global’, however, don’t have to mean ‘corporate’, ‘stifling’, or ‘behind the times’.
I’m currently working with a fintech giant to source talented Android developers for their London-based team.
Established as a platform to aid with the transfer of money to users internationally, the company has seen huge growth in the years since it was established, and now sits comfortably amongst the top performing fintech companies in London today.
With the user at the forefront of every move they make towards improving and developing their product, the existing team is focused, pragmatic, thoughtful, and proud of both their hugely successful product, and the close, start-up-style working culture they’ve maintained throughout their rise.
You’ll be joining a team of 4, based out of an office in Central London. Mobile purists through and through, your focus within the team will be on crafting meticulous, clean and testable code (via UNIT / Automated); mentoring more junior developers alongside developing your own skills; participating in hiring; and participating in Scrum, as part of a fully-agile workforce.
Solid experience in Android development is essential, as is a firm grasp of Kotlin, and UNIT Testing.
-4 years’ experience building native Android apps
-Solid experience across the whole Android SDK
-Agile – Scrum
-You are a problem-solver, with a pragmatic approach to your work
-You are an excellent communicator, both in life, and in work!
Does this sound like a ‘bit of you’?
