Key skills required:
*Test Development background
*Experience of PIC Microcontroller embedded code development (assembly language and C) using MPLAB IDE
*Experience of PCB test jig (including Unit Under Test fixture) design, development, fabrication and commissioning
*Experience of Design for Test
*Knowledge of PCB test techniques incorporating Infra-red emitter and phototransistor component technology
*Experience of bespoke PCB design (schematic and layout) using Mentor Graphics PADS is desirable
*Experience of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD is desirable
*Identification and verification testing of alternative electronic components due to component obsolescence.
*Skilled in the use of Windows 10, Office 2010 and Outlook
*Have at least 3 years industrial experience in developing, fabricating and commissioning cost effective functional test solutions at PCB, sub assembly or final assembly levels
*Degree/HNC qualified in an Electronic Engineering subject or similar subject
*Identify, develop, fabricate and commission cost effective functional test solutions at PCB, sub assembly and final assembly levels ensuing end users are fully conversant in operational procedures
*Liaise with other disciplines during the product development phase to develop test solutions ensuring DFT and DFM for new products
*Create Test Requirement Specification documents and test strategy documents for new test jig projects based on design & product specifications available
*Produce test procedure, test validation, jig calibration and test jig documentation
*Provide technical support to Operations on all electronic and software matters. Analyse, troubleshoot and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures
*Provide necessary post-test jig release support to Operations and Field Technicians
*Continuous improvement of test solutions and techniques
*Test jig validation in line with design specifications available
*Calibration and maintenance of in-house test solutions
*Evaluation of alternative components
*Support prototype development builds by providing functional test capability
