Are you a junior developer with a wide breadth of technical know-how?
Are you the sort of person who thrives on a challenge and wants to be pushed to expand your knowledge?
You write code, and you thrive on the challenge of making that code artistic in its simplicity. C# is your language of choice. You love simplifying the complex, automating the mundane and ultimately get a huge buzz out of seeing your code come to life and begin benefiting real-world users.
You’ve probably experimented with F#, Swift and Go just because they’re interesting, and you’re the sort of person who views “here’s a bit of code in a language you’ve never heard of – can you see what’s wrong with it?” as a challenge rather than a chore.
You’ve been writing code for a few years and are now ready to take on a new challenge with a growing company with ambitious plans that will enable you to gain skills in AI/ML, the latest cloud platforms, data lakes etc.
You revel in the freedom to suggest and implement new technologies – but you don’t have problems supporting existing code and get your hands dirty with the odd bit of legacy product.
You like the idea of bringing your own ideas to the table but can work with others with differing opinions and see the benefit in bouncing ideas off each other until the best solution is found. You also want award winning training and the support of an expert team who know all that there is to know about the industry.
You’ll work on a proprietary SAAS product in collaboration with teams spread across the globe. This software is in use by banks, governments and private sector companies across the world which enable them to more effectively and efficiently manage their operations and workforces.
The company is on a steep upward trajectory and is expected to grow significantly following continued investment.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
– 1 – 2 years of commercial experience or a 1st class honours degree with demonstrable personal projects
– Excellent Technical skills, with the “depth” bit in C#, MVC and enterprise applications and breadth in just about anything tech
– Strong knowledge of at least one of t-sql, Entity, dependency injection, Teamcity or Azure
– A firm belief that code that doesn’t have unit tests and automated test suites isn’t worth having
– An interest in AI/ML, Hadoop, Pig, R, Q# and more
If you tick most of these boxes please get in touch, this is one of my favourite clients to work with, you get to really have a voice within the team and are treated as an individual, not a anonymous cubicle farm drone!
