How would you like to work for a company that is trying to change one of the oldest industries around? It’s a big challenge but they think they can do it!
Banking has been around for thousands of years, this company apply cutting edge Quantitive techniques, cloud and big data technologies to create bespoke trading products for Banking and Finance organsiations.
You can expect to work on projects for Tier 1 investment banks, major financial institutions and young Fintech companies. You will not work on these alone though, you will be surrounded by a small team – 10 people currently to be exact. They are some of the smartest people in the industry doing things with numbers that the average person can only dream of.
What you can expect to be doing day to day would range from engineering and automating the platform infrastructure, managing the analytics’ distributed software platform and building and maintaining the software delivery platform.
Your boss is important of course, no one wants to be managed by someone who hasn’t worked on the ground before or doesn’t know how to manage. The CTO you would be reporting into used to work as Head of Development for one of the largest software companies in the world, did such a good job he was invited back…twice! He’s inspiring, leads from the front and developing his team is key to his success.
Your experience in Linux, Docker, Ansible and AWS would fit in perfectly here. If you have any Terraform experience it’s a bonus but not essential as training is a core philosophy so you can expect to receive training in many areas of DevOps including that.
You would be rewarded with a salary of up to £80,000 + up to 20% bonus..yes up to an incredible 20% bonus. The current DevOps Engineer you would be working with took home a bonus of over £15,000 this year.
