If you’re a strong Senior Backend Developer or Development Team Lead looking for a new role/step up, you need to check out this company in Central London!
Awarded an exclusive grant from Google, they’re building a platform that uses AI to revolutionise the way journalism will work in the future.
They’ve built a diverse and inclusive company so far of 50 people (and 2 dogs!) with offices in Shoreditch and Canada – and their plan is to double that year on year, very exciting times.
As a Development Team Lead, you’ll be joining an engineering team of 16, working across a tech stack including: Golang, Kubernetes, Node, AWS, React, GraphQL/Apollo, ES7, Typescript, MongoDB
This is a Development Team Lead role where you’ll be 70% hands on – when you’re not building cutting-edge innovations you’ll be helping to grow & coach your team.
Whilst your focus will be backend development, you’ll be leading a full-stack team, which means you’ll get involved in functionality from front-end to infrastructure.
Here’s the experience they need:
*Five or more years architecting & developing highly-reliable, scalable back-end services, preferably on AWS
*3 years leading an agile development team – but they’re also open to people who have 12 months+
*Kubernetes & Golang knowledge is very useful, but they are open to other similar technologies
*Experience in any of the following is a massive bonus, but if not you can learn all about it here: ElasticSearch, data science, machine learning, distributed systems, iOS/Android development
The salary for the Development Team Lead role is between £80,000 to £85,000 + shares, 25 days holiday, flexible working, training budget – and more soon to be announced!
