A Flying Start to the Year!
Life at ISL
January was a jam-packed month! Last week, we kicked-off the new financial year with our annual end of year conference at the MSHED Bristol. It was great to be able to look back at such a fantastic from our amazing incentive and reward experiences in 2017.
A flying start to the year!
We had the pleasure of having ex-fighter pilot and Special Forces pilot, Matt Whitfield, join us for our annual conference. After training and working in some of the most elite team in the world, Matt now works as a performance and leadership coach for businesses across the UK. He delivered an excellent masterclass keynote talk to our employees and left everyone motivated and geared up for the next year of business! Thank you Matt for kicking off our new year with a flying start!
In January we also had the pleasure of having a friendly new face join us. Alex Morrell joined ISL as our new Business Intelligence consultant. Alex has really jumped straight in head first and become an integral part of the ISL team and an ever-smiley face in the office! Check out Alex’s company profile here.
Ahoy there me hearties!
In January we had the honour of picking up the RDLC Pirates Award for Best Talent Acquisition 2017 at Café De Paris, London. For an agency of our size, taking on 20 new people in one year is a great achievement and we are looking forward to achieving over and above this number again in 2018. We believe that the one thing that makes us different to many agencies is that we do not hire purely for numbers and the prospect of boasting a large headcount. We recruit for quality and if we believe someone demonstrates both the values and attitudes we respect here at ISL, and we feel they have the potential to succeed as business people, we will welcome them on board. We believe that picking up the award for ‘Best’ Talent Acquisition is a testament to these value.
Perfect Performance from Perfect Candidate
A few of us joined our two directors at the Cheltenham races last weekend to support the two ISL favourites, Perfect Candidate and Arctic Gold. Perfect Candidate is next likely to run at the Cheltenham Festival and then either the Grand National or Scottish Grand National! Here are some pictures from our day at Cheltenham!
